How long have you been at Fortitude and what got you started?

I joined fortitude in February. I had just moved to the city and didn’t know many people so was looking for a gym with a great community and great classes.

What was your very first day at Fortitude like?

So great! I came along to a 6:30am trial and immediately felt what a super supportive and friendly environment it was! Andi and Letitia both made me feel super included and guided me through what we were doing.

Tell us some of your recent accomplishments. What goals do you have for 2022!?

Well coming 2nd in the two 2 tango beginners after filling in last minute was pretty cool!! I’ve been working on my kipping pull ups and I’d really like to get 5 in a row!

What kind of changes have you experienced since starting Fortitude that were completely unexpected (ie. new friends, “family”, the community, more self-confidence, etc)?

Honestly I’ve never been more committed to anything before 😂 its so nice showing up everyday knowing you get to chat away to some really awesome people and challenge yourself in a workout, feel accomplished and then chat some more 😂

Favourite workout or movement?

Ooohh I do like a hefty AMRAP with maybe some clean and press and wall walks.

Hobbies, Talents and or Interests? What does a day in your life look like outside of being an athlete?

I’m a teacher and I love to cook 👩‍🍳

Advice for newbies

It’s scary starting something new and being a beginner but you literally have nothing to lose (and everything to gain).
