What do you do out there in the real world?

In the real world I’m a police officer in the city.

Hard to choose just one, but your favourite workout is…

Favourite workout is Murph

What are some of your recent accomplishments/aha moments?

Recent accomplishment is first comp win with George.

What is a goal you want to accomplish?

Goal I want to accomplish is a 140kg back squat. Hard with chicken legs.

Favourite Fortitude Moment?

Favourite Fortitude moment was the clean complex at partners league.

What does a day in the life of Andrew look like, outside of being an athlete?

Day in the life is wither at work or if I’m at home it’s training, eating, napping or drinking coffee. I love a nap.

What is your favorite thing to do outside Fortitude?

Favourite thing outside of Fortitude is probably playing golf or getting on the piss.

What is a fun fact about you?

Fun fact: my front tooth is fake after I smashed it on a deck chair 18 years ago

Any advice for someone just starting?

Advice would be just to turn up. The coaches and community will help with the rest.

What do you do out there in the real world?

I’m an addictions practitioner! I work in a therapeutic drug treatment programme in Auckland Prison. Its my dream job so feel very lucky!

anything with burpees, squat cleans or wall balls 🤠

What are some of your recent accomplishments/aha moments?
Achieving a 60kg clean complex at partners Leauge

What is a goal you want to accomplish?
Current focus is trying to achieve a chest to bar and beat Sam Newell in a handstand walk 😏

Favorite Fortitude Moment?
So many! Stand out one though was watching Kueni bank 90kg squat clean at Powertrip and then making podium with the gals 💖

Have you experienced any other unexpected changes after joining Fortitude?
The sense of community! Feel so loved and supported every time I train. The people and coaches are absolute legends and every session guarantees some laughs

What is your favorite thing to do outside Fortitude?
Outside of work and training, im hanging with my friends, eating my way round Auckland, studying (currently completing my masters) and annoying Andrew 🤪

Any advice for someone just starting?
Trust the process! You won’t pick up everything straight away, but if your are consistent it will start to fall into place
