How long have you been at Fortitude and what got you started?

3 years at Fortitude and got serious last year haha wanted to join a gym close to home. Best investment! 

What was your very first day at Fortitude like?

First session was with my siblings and a whole lot of skipping. We obviously enjoyed ourselves since we’re still here 3 years later lol

Tell us some of your recent accomplishments. What goals do you have for 2022!?

I hit 155kg deadlift PB earlier this year and recently hit a 70kg clean PB at Renegade competition with my sister. My goal is to finally do a pull-up… watch this space. But not too closely 😂

What kind of changes have you experienced since starting Fortitude that were completely unexpected (ie. new friends, “family”, the community, more self-confidence, etc)?

Made friends who have become family. I’m a lot more stronger & confident. Learning the technique, discipline & being part of a community has been beneficial for my mind and body. The gym is my safe space!

Favourite workout or movement?

Clean & Deadlifts! I feel strong when I do these movements. 

Hobbies, Talents and or Interests? What does a day in your life look like outside of being an athlete?

Spending time with family, partner & Dog. 

Ori Tahiti which is another workout and finding new places to eat. 

Advice for newbies

Never say never – with a solid dose of grit, determination your goals will be more achievable. Keep showing up & putting in the work.  Lesssssgo!
