Do you remember your first workout at Fortitude? How did you feel before/after?
My first workout was pretty fun, I think it was a mix of deadballs and running. I remember feeling really scared I’d just collapse halfway or something. But I got through it okay, and felt pretty great.
What is your favourite moment? Why?
I really love olympic lifting – I find it very challenging, and there’s always something to fix or refine.
Asides from that, deadballs and rope climbs are pretty fun too. Something about just chucking things around and climbing up high, it’s really fun.
What is your least favourite moment? Why?
Rowing and running. Because I’m not 6ft tall.
What are your interests outside of training?
Probably catching up on sleep, and doing random hikes around Auckland.
What is one random fact about you?
I’m extremely conventional, I don’t think I have one! I have four adult siblings and I’m the only one that can drive.
What motivates you to keep coming back to Fortitude Fitness?
Seeing progress every week, even if just by a little bit. The encouraging and competitive spirit of the classes. Also my excessive consumption of sugar.
