Do you remember your first workout at Fortitude? How did you feel before/after?
It was a Saturday 30 minute roll the dice EMOM. I was the only one in the class other than the coach and I ended up spewing after the first 15 rounds… Good way to set the tone for coming back into functional fitness after a long hiatus.
What is your favourite moment? Why?
Metcon Madness 2020. We had so many members of the gym competing together. The competition was intense but you had your team to carry you through the pain cave. Our tent setup was sick.
What is your least favourite moment? Why?
The first three months of getting back into training and setting up a consistent routine; every workout I felt as though I was going to expire. I still feel that way but my body has adapted to this and I’m now more capable of managing myself during a workout so i don’t get to the fail point every time.
What are your interests outside of training?
Spending time with family and friends, gaming, and soon to be playing with Rosemary and I’s new dog.
What is one random fact about you?
I have a Masters degree in Philosophy.
What motivates you to keep coming back to Fortitude Fitness?
The coaches, the community, the atmosphere, the facilities, and the gains.
